Parent Portal on www.careercruising.com/parent
Parent and guardian involvement is critical to student success in career and education planning. Parents can greatly influence their children’s career choices, and they also have unique insight into the interests, abilities, and dreams that inform those choices. Our new Parent Portal helps parents engage in the career planning process with their children.
The Parent Portal allows parents and guardians to monitor and comment on their child’s career development activities. From the central dashboard, parents can track their child’s portfolio completion status; view their child’s portfolio, including the interests, achievements, goals, and career and education plans he or she has recorded there; provide feedback on portfolio content; receive messages from their child’s teacher or counsellor; and explore ccSpringboard.
Parents access the Parent Portal using an activation code, available from their child’s careers class teacher or via email invitation from their child. Once they have a code, they can go to www.careercruising.com/parent to register and log into their account. There is a video tutorial on the Parent Portal login page and an About The Parent Portal PDF inside the Portal to help parents learn more about the features and benefits of the Parent Portal.
