I have always been fascinated by Science and by living things!  I enjoy sharing what I know and learning new things with my classes, and I hope that this is very evident to my students!

History at Courtice S.S.

I have been teaching Science at Courtice since 1988 and during that time have had a number of positions of responsibility. First I was co-ordinator of Math, Science and Technology for grade 9. Then I was a Computer facilitator and when that position ended, I became the Assistant head of Science. Finally, I became Head of Science in February 2008, after the retirement of Mr. Harvey.  It is really an easy job, because the science team at Courtice has always been strong and very collegial. In fact, any science student quickly gets to know the entire science department, because we always drop in on each other while classes are in session. If you need help with any science class, feel free to ask any science teacher. We are all very knowledgable, and helpful.8-)
